I’m Jia, and I’m so happy you came to my blog! I hope you enjoy what I write — I mostly use this platform to review books, recommend diverse reads, and to write the occasional discussion post on whatever it is I feel like discussing. One of my main goals is to recommend Middle Eastern books and uplift Middle Eastern authors. As a queer Punjabi-Palestinian woman, ownvoice books mean a lot to me and I try my best to help spread the word!
A bit more about me:
I’m currently twenty-one years old, and my pronouns are she/her. I’m a university student majoring in History with a minor in Political Science. I’m very vocal about politics (you’ll know that if you follow me on Twitter!), especially about Palestine and other Middle Eastern countries so be prepared to see blogposts on politics every once in a while! My favourite genres to read are romance and adult fantasy, but I also enjoy reading historical fiction and YA fantasy. I do tend to stay away from horror, sci-fi, and thrillers.
My username on most social medias is bintlevant, and I get a lot of questions about what it means, which is daughter of the Levant! The Levant is honesty one of my favourite places in the world and I feel like this username really shows my love for it!
